Sacrifice: Book 2 of the Clans Saga

Welcome.

My name is J.A. Cummings, and I’m a writer. A writer is no good without readers, and that was the impetus behind creating this website. Publication in a traditional manner is harder and harder to obtain in this digital age, and I have never been very good at trusting others with things that are as important to me as this work. I decided to go it alone, to offer my books, stories and poems directly to the reader without a middle man.

There are a lot of things that I plan to offer on this website. Hopefully it will continue to grow as my writing grows, and, with luck, you will come back again after this visit. Take a tour of the buttons on the left and check back – this is a work in progress, and you never know when something new is going to be added. There’s a link to the book that started it all, and the sequel will be coming soon through this site. I’m available personally to answer any questions or comments, and I welcome your input.

Characters take on a life of their own when they “live” in your head long enough, and I’ve been living with Tobyn Reyes Gemini, the lead vampire in the Clans series, for almost 20 years. There are times when a writer can even be convinced that the character has found a way to exist independently. In that vein (pun very much intended), for the more whimsically inclined, there’s a way to ask questions of Tobyn. Send him a message, and I’ll make sure he answers. Just a fair warning – Tobyn is as Tobyn does, and even I can’t always predict what he’ll say!

a lot of people, all of whom were instrumental in making me into the woman and the writer that
